I’m always curious to try different crafts and step outside my comfort zone. Taking on crochet meant learning an unfamiliar craft entirely through YouTube videos. The real test was turning that initial curiosity into three well-made figures: keeping the stitches neat, balancing the soft filling with an internal wire structure, and stitching tiny clothes that fit.

What started as a beginner experiment turned into a successful creative exercise. The final result is a trio of expressive handcrafted frogs, each featuring a sturdy wire skeleton that allows them to hold fun, natural poses. More than just a thoughtful Christmas gift, the project proved that with curiosity and patience, an unfamiliar craft can quickly become a tangible skill.

Three frogs, three completely different vibes. Up close, each character shows off its own look: the earthy brown one in custom overalls, the bold red one that looks just like a tiny tomato, and the green one bundled in a cozy sweater.

How it's made
The process started with cotton yarn and crochet hooks, following along with video tutorials and using stitch markers to track every round. Once the outer pieces were ready, an internal wire skeleton was shaped and inserted to make the limbs fully poseable. Each frog was then filled with soft stuffing, hand-stitched closed, and finished with custom details, including the miniature sweater and tailored overalls.
