Designed for Warsaw-based producer Jacek Sienkiewicz to mark the 25th anniversary of Recognition Records (R25), this 2xLP gatefold vinyl package translates the raw atmosphere of Warsaw’s underground techno scene into a coherent visual system.

The brief required designing a celebratory 2xLP gatefold package for the 25th anniversary of Recognition Records. The core challenge was figuring out how to translate the intangible energy, depth, and rhythm of Jacek Sienkiewicz’s electronic music into a physical format, while giving meaningful visual weight to a quarter-century milestone of an independent underground label.
The brief required designing a celebratory 2xLP gatefold package for the 25th anniversary of Recognition Records. The core challenge was figuring out how to translate the intangible energy, depth, and rhythm of Jacek Sienkiewicz’s electronic music into a physical format, while giving meaningful visual weight to a quarter-century milestone of an independent underground label.
Result
The project translates the experience of a Warsaw techno night into a cohesive 2xLP gatefold package. The front cover introduces a custom, stepped "25th" typography conveying rhythmic vertigo, while the inside spread opens onto an architectural collage of Warsaw where all five figures, the artist and four clubbers, are caught in free fall. On the back, the tracklist pairs each side (A, B, C, D) with an individual figure, linking the outer package, inner spread, and vinyl center labels into a unified narrative.

Intersecting the monochrome geometry, the falling figure represents the artist behind the music. It visually captures the visceral sensation of techno: the hypnotic pull, weightlessness, and total immersion of falling into the rhythm.

While the artist's figure anchors the header, each side features a unique falling silhouette representing listeners immersed in the trance of techno. These graphics also serve as identifiers, mirrored directly onto the center labels to visually connect the packaging with the physical vinyl
